Learn to Read!
I have been trained in Orton-Gillingham multi-sensory literacy instruction. I will teach your child how to read using a structured Orton-Gillingham literacy curriculum. Orton-Gillingham methods have been proven by the Science of Reading to be the most efficient way to teach readers. I begin with an assessment of your child's current knowledge and skills. Then, I teach your child how to read using the latest research and methodologies from the Science of Reading. I explicitly teach all aspects of literacy:

Reading Intervention / Dyslexia Therapy
I provide Reading Intervention and Dyslexia Therapy services. I utilize the Take Flight Curriculum for Dyslexia therapy services. Take Flight is an Orton-Gillingham based Tier III intervention, written by the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, a pioneer in dyslexia research. It is a structured, multisensory, systematic and cumulative intervention, and addresses the five components of effective reading instruction identified by the National Reading Panel's research:

Private English Instruction / English Support / Tutoring
Private English instruction is available for children ages 4-12. One on one instruction or tutoring will give your child the most support. If your child is a non-native English speaker, I teach your child English using storybooks, songs, games, and fun activities. If your child is already a native speaker, I teach your child English reading and writing according to their age and grade level. I create my own curriculum based on each child's individual needs. I offer instruction for all children from absolute beginners in English to native English speakers.
